What's New in Superbase?

Superbase (v3) introduces many exciting new features designed to make application development easier and more productive. This document highlights the major enhancements.

SBL now incorporates a rigorous implementation of an object-oriented visual design language with which Visual Basic programmers will feel instantly at home. A superb Object Properties dialog allows full navigation through all objects in the system.

All of Superbase's development tools have been enhanced with ease-of-use features, as well as the ability to generate object-oriented code. Both end-users and developers can use the Form and Report Builder tools to create forms and reports with just a few mouse clicks, then fine-tune them if required with the graphical design tools. And crosstab queries add a powerful new reporting feature.

Superbase (v3) moves towards a fully open architecture, allowing developers to mix and match components for custom applications. Support for OLE 2 Automation makes possible a new level of integration with other Windows applications. And reports and forms can access SQL data directly through ODBC connections.
