PPCS Peer-to-Peer
Client Server Technology
Superbase 3.6i now implements a new series of objects to
allow users to create both server and client instances of
Superbase for using Superbase data files and for accessing
other file types via several different methods, including:
the Internet, NetBIOS, and serial cable and modem connections.
Using this new capability, it is possible to setup a Superbase
instance on the Internet as a server, and from clients elsewhere
connect to the server and use Superbase data files, forms,
programs, etc. that are located on the server. Also, it is
possible to join tables from different servers into one report.
For more information see the topic in the contents of the
Superbase online help about remote connectivity, and/or examine
the source code of the new connectivity wizards in the RemConn
directory below the Samples directory.
